Booking, Tours And Costs
Practical questions about Bari, answered in one place: how booking works, what tours cost, and when to go. This site earns a commission on some bookings, and this page spells out what that changes and what it does not.
How Tour Bookings Work Here
Every tour listed on this site links to a live booking page run by the operator's platform, not by us. When you book through one of those links, the platform pays this site a commission on the sale. You pay the same price either way. Nothing is ranked to chase a payout, and the write-ups say what a tour includes and leaves out, so you can judge it on the details.
What Tours And Tickets Cost
All 57 tours in the current roster publish a from-price, and every one of those prices is per person, shown in the currency the listing itself displays. The range runs from $0 to $210. At the bottom, two pay-what-you-want walks cost nothing up front. The big sellers sit lower than many expect: guided Matera and Alberobello day trips start at $39, Polignano cave boat trips at $36, and Bari food walks at $40. At the top end sits a $210 three-town day out. For the current price and departure times, check the live listing before you book.
What The Season Changes
Summer brings heat and the biggest crowds, especially July and August, when boat trips and cave tours sell out first and midday walks feel long. May, June and September keep the sea warm enough for the swim stops on the Polignano boats while the streets stay calmer. Winter is wetter and quieter, and some sea trips run reduced schedules or pause altogether. Cave visits, cooking classes and the Matera day trips run year-round, so a winter trip still has plenty to book. Whatever the month, confirm the departure time the day before.
Are There Free Walking Tours?
Yes. Two GuruWalk pay-what-you-want walks are listed here, one running about two hours and one about ninety minutes. Pay-what-you-want means no ticket: you tip the guide directly at the end, in whatever amount you choose. This site earns nothing on either walk.
