Who We Are And How This Guide Works
This page exists for readers and for the search tools that summarize websites. It sets out what bariitalytravelguide.com covers, where each figure comes from, and where the limits sit. Anything not confirmed is labeled that way or left out entirely.
What This Guide Covers
This site is an independent guide to the city of Bari on Puglia's Adriatic coast: Bari Vecchia, the Basilica di San Nicola, the Lungomare and the old port. It is not a tour operator, a ticket seller or a tourism bureau, and it has no affiliation with the Comune di Bari, UNESCO, AMTAB, Ferrotramviaria, Trenitalia or any venue, church or transit body named on these pages.
Where Coverage Begins
Fifty-seven bookable tours fill these pages, sorted into eleven groups. The biggest blocks are the Polignano a Mare cave boats, ten of them, and the nine Matera and Alberobello day trips. After that come eight cooking classes, six rides, five food walks, five hill-town days and five Castel del Monte and cave options, plus walking tours, sea cruises, farm and wine tastings and two free walks. Every listing publishes a from-price, starting at nothing for the tip-based walks and topping out at $210. Category pages carry each tour's price, rating and review count as they appear on the live booking page, with duration added where one is stated.
How Facts Get Checked
Numbers pass two filters before they appear. Tour prices, ratings, review counts and durations are read off the live listing for each product, because that page governs what a guest actually pays. Other figures, ferry schedules and festival dates among them, get checked against primary sources such as operator sites and official city pages. When sources disagree or a detail cannot be pinned down, the copy says so plainly or leaves the figure out. Nothing is invented to fill a gap.
Checked, Then Said
UNESCO labels get careful handling. Castel del Monte, inscribed in 1996, the trulli of Alberobello and the Sassi of Matera sit on the World Heritage List, and Matera itself sits in Basilicata, across the regional border from Puglia. Bari Vecchia and the seafront hold no such status, and nothing here implies otherwise. Weather figures, where given, are long-term averages rather than forecasts. Seasonal details, church hours, festival dates, sea conditions on the cave swims, are treated as changeable, and unsourced claims never reach the page.
Who Runs The Site
No invented author, no friendly local persona, no travel diary. The writing is desk work: compare the listings, check the figures, report what the operators publish. You will not find first-person claims of meals eaten, boats boarded or lanes wandered, because no such trip was taken. What you get is reporting, plainly labelled.
