Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you book a Polignano cave boat, a pasta class or a Matera day trip through one, the booking platform pays this site a commission. That payment comes from the platform, never from you.
Where Tour Links Lead
Tour links on these pages point to live booking platforms. Book through one and the platform pays this site a commission; the reader pays the same price either way. The rule covers every category with a bookable link, from cave boat trips out of Polignano to pasta classes in Bari Vecchia. Free walking tours are different: they carry no ticket price at all, and guides work for tips alone.
What Earns Nothing
Plenty of what appears here earns this site nothing. The two free Bari walks run on tips for the guide alone. Museums and churches sell their own tickets, and the links go straight to their own pages. Piazza Mercantile, the Lungomare and the old port cost nothing and link to no one. When the honest answer is a city bus or a train fare, we give the fare and attach no link. These entries sit beside the monetized ones, not behind them.
What No Payment Can Buy
What gets listed, and in what order, is an editorial call. No operator pays to be featured, and nobody can buy a higher spot on a page. Ratings and review counts shown beside each tour are the booking platforms' own published figures, reproduced exactly as they stand. Where a figure could not be checked against an official source, it is either left out or labeled as reported, with a note to confirm before you go. That standard holds on every page of this site.
